JORY DYVIG, Sports Artist
Colored pencil artist, Jory Dyvig, shares his timeless tributes to American Nostalgia through his photo realistic illustrations. Dyvig's art collectors are relating to his nostalgic images, which contain accurate detail, fine technique, and sharp contrast.

Currently residing in Webster City, Iowa, Dyvig began studying art at Waldorf College, in Forest City, Iowa, where he received his A.A. Degree in Art & Design. He continue his studies at Iowa State University, where he received his B.A. in Art & Design. It was there, where one of his professors introduced him to colored pencils. Dyvig utilizes the soft wax of the colored pencils by constantly blending them over each other until the desired color is reached. Pencil marks can be seen from up close, leaving the casual viewer thinking it was an actual photograph, instead of a hand drawn illustration.

Enticing subject matter and striking photo-realism set Dyvig's work apart from the others.

In 2001, Dyvig was the official artist for the Minnesota Vikings 40th Anniversary Team.
